Saturday, July 12th, 2025, marked a significant milestone in the history of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as it commemorated its 25th anniversary in grand style in Port Harcourt. The celebration was more than just a reflection on years gone by; it was a testament to the Commission's journey, achievements, and future prospects under the visionary leadership of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.

With a renewed sense of purpose and direction, Dr. Ogbuku has steered the NDDC towards greater accountability, regional integration, and strategic implementation of projects aimed at uplifting the lives of Niger Delta citizens. The event brought together an impressive assembly of regional leaders, national figures, technocrats, community representatives, and youth voices from across the Niger Delta.

The celebration was graced by notable figures, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the President of the 10th Nigerian Senate, H.E. Senator Godswill Akpabio; and former President of Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Dr. Ogbuku expressed his profound gratitude to President Tinubu for entrusting him with the leadership of the NDDC, reflecting the President's confidence in the Commission's potential under sound leadership.
