Drama Ends: Mercy Chinwo's Ex-Manager Apologizes, Retracts Accusations
A dramatic turn of events has unfolded in the ongoing feud between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former record label, EeZee Conceptz. The label's Managing Director, Coach Nancy, has retracted her viral accusations against the singer, citing a desire for peace and love of God.
According to reports, Coach Nancy bowed to legal and public pressure, formally withdrawing her earlier claims that accused Chinwo of financial misconduct. This development comes amid an ongoing $345,000 royalty dispute between the two parties.
The retraction statement was made on Instagram, where Coach Nancy wrote, "On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo. I also pray that Almighty God perfects the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz."
Respected clergy from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Christian Association of Nigeria have stepped in to mediate the dispute. Fans and followers have expressed mixed feelings about the development, with some welcoming the gesture of humility from Coach Nancy and others commending Chinwo for standing up for her rights.
The dispute began in January 2025 when Chinwo filed a lawsuit against EeZee Conceptz, alleging the diversion of $345,000 in music royalties. Chinwo's ex-manager's public accusations sparked a heated exchange, prompting Chinwo to file a defamation suit demanding a full retraction, public apology, and deletion of the libelous posts.
As the situation unfolds, Chinwo continues to shine in her ministry, recently headlining the Twenzetu Kwa Yesu 2025 concert in Tanzania, which drew over 50,000 attendees. The settlement talks between Chinwo and EeZee Conceptz may signal a new chapter in their relationship, but only time will tell if peace will indeed reign .
