Tinubu's Ally's Brother Busted: Ajetsibo Emami Caught with 414kg of Cannabis in Lagos

Ajetsibo Emami, brother of Ayiri Emami, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and ally of President Bola Tinubu, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for drug trafficking in Lagos.

According to Femi Babafemi, NDLEA spokesperson, Emami was caught on June 28 with 24 jumbo bags containing 681 pouches of Canadian Loud, a strain of cannabis weighing 414.2 kilograms. The agency's operatives dismantled his drug trafficking network in a three-day operation, leading to the arrest of three other suspects.

The NDLEA had received credible intelligence on Emami's plan to distribute the shipment to various parts of Lagos and across the country. Emami's arrest was announced a day after Sahara Reporters alleged plans to cover up the case due to his brother's influence.

A photo of Emami, his brother, and President Tinubu had previously gone viral on social media. Earlier this year, President Tinubu celebrated Ayiri Emami's birthday with a statement.
