Fresh Start For New Students As Rivers State University Announces 44th Matriculation Date

The management of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has officially scheduled its 44th matriculation ceremony for fresh students of the 2025/2026 academic session to hold on Wednesday, 28th January, 2026. 

According to a press release issued by the Acting Registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo, the event will commence at 9:00 a.m. at the University Convocation Arena.

In preparation for the ceremony, all duly registered fresh students are expected to visit their respective faculty officers starting from Friday, 23rd January, 2026, to collect their academic gowns. 

To qualify for the collection of these gowns, students must present evidence of payment for their acceptance fee and other approved university charges. 

Additionally, students are required to provide two current passport photographs, a copy of their online admission letter, their residential address, and a valid phone number. 

The university administration has advised all concerned students to take note of these requirements and ensure full compliance to facilitate a smooth ceremony.
