BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: RIVERS NUJ SHOWS LOVE TO APRIL CELEBRANTS IN STYLE

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council, recently marked a special day with flair and pageantry as they celebrated members born in April. The event, which was a first of its kind in the history of NUJ Rivers State, saw over ten celebrants treated to a grand celebration.

The celebrants, who expressed gratitude to the current NUJ leadership, described the gesture as unprecedented and a show of love and appreciation. Comrd Godpower Lekia Anya, Chairman of Radio Rivers Chapel, said the celebration was a clear indication that better days are ahead for the union.

Other celebrants, including Comrd Adolphus Wonder of Information Chapel and Comrd Deborah Ogolo of Weekly Star/Weekly Watch Chapel, corroborated Anya's position, urging that the feat be sustained. The NUJ Chairman, Comrd Paul Bazia, assured that the treat will be done monthly, as long as he and his team remain in office.

The event featured a red carpet for the celebrants, cutting of birthday cake, and congratulatory messages from colleagues. The celebration was a testament to the union's commitment to its members' welfare and well-being.
