As the nation marks Workers' Day 2025, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt commendation to the state's hardworking men and women. In a message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara praised the resilience, dedication, and professionalism of the Rivers workforce, describing their commitment as the backbone of the state's development and beacon of hope for a better future.
This year's theme, _"Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate,"_ underscores the urgent need to protect workers amid escalating environmental threats and socio-political uncertainties. Governor Fubara stressed the importance of prioritizing occupational safety and well-being as essential pillars for sustainable growth.
"Despite political turbulence and governance disruptions, Rivers workers continue to demonstrate patriotism, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to duty," Governor Fubara said, expressing deep gratitude for their sacrifices.
