CALL FOR ACTION: SIGN THIS PETITION TO PROTECT OUR DAUGHTERS, WIVES, AND MOTHERS

It's been a very busy day at my end today, going from one meeting to the other, my wonderful people.

However, we women worldwide in the business, politics, media, academics, banking and other sectors, and all who have openly frowned at the grave injustice and blatant victimisation and intimidations being meted against Senator Natasha Akpoti have decided to firmly step up and do more than only speaking and complaining about the situation on social media while the unrepentantly vile camp of her assailant is working tirelessly to subvert justice and also bend the law against her.

Not only have they ignored the court injunction and INEC's directive that Senator Natasha cannot be recalled, but they've also seemingly succeeded at arm twisting the national electoral body to give them an alarmingly biased loophole through which they may achieve their nefarious and devious plan against her. Also, despite the clear fact that their submitted petition/letter was blatantly forged, there has been zero arrests or any legal repercussions against the Akpabio camp. One would think that the INEC would use a high profile case like this to attempt to reinstall some level of confidence in the hearts of keenly observing Nigerians and world observers, but alas, every dog has its price indeed!

This is not another social media rant or cry but a rallying call for every genuine person - female and male alike - to rise with us and see to it that justice prevails in this case! The implicated Senate President Godswill Akpabio remains on seat, yet the victim has been brutely and illegally suspended for 6 months against the very constitution of the federation he claims to represent, uphold, and defend.

Such callousness cannot be allowed to stand or continue, hence we are seeking to get a minimum of 10 million signatures on this petition for proper and the overdue justice on this matter to be served with the immediate reinstatement of Senator Natasha and the temporary standing down of Senator Akpabio as the Senate Head pending the outcome of a proper and thorough investigation into these shamefully recurring accusations of sexual harassment against him.

Kindly remember that if they can do this to a seating Senator like Barr. Mrs. Natasha Akpoti - UDUAGHAN, what would become of the common woman and girls across Nigeria and Africa who may be suffering the same plight presently? It is Natasha's turn today but do not be deceived: WE ARE ALL NATASHAS, and if this appalling bullying, victimisation and distasteful injustice prevails against her now, there will be no hiding place for all our sisters, wives, mothers, and daughters in a country that not only protects but also empowers disgraceful sexual predators with the third highest office in the nation!

Let us rise with one voice by signing this petition massively, and also demand that the perpetrators and all in their camp be barred from entering any foreign nations as potential sexual predators and offenders. Injustice against one is injustice against all, so no right thinking Nigerian, African, and person worldwide should be comfortable with remaining aloof and doing nothing to see that genuine justice prevails in this case.

Hence, to all well-meaning woman, girl, and even man out there today, this is a clarion call to action: Rise, Resist, and Reclaim what belongs to you - your rights, dignity, and future today!

Sign the petition to protect our daughters, and women:
