Edo Election: PDP Alleges Stolen Mandate, Files Petition

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has taken bold action, filing a petition at the Election Tribunal over alleged election irregularities ¹. Chairman Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi claims the September 21 governorship election was robbed, and the party is confident of reclaiming its mandate.

Aziegbemi disclosed that the party has begun the journey to reclaim the people's mandate, citing overwhelming evidence to support their claims ¹. The PDP also alleges that the All Progressive Congress (APC) attempted to disrupt the inspection of election materials at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office.

Director General of the Edo State PDP Governorship Campaign Council, Mathew Iduoriyekemwen, emphasized that democracy gives citizens the constitutional right to vote for their leaders, and this right cannot be denied.
